About the role

Data Engineer Junior at ARKHO seeks to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data models on AWS to support analytics and business intelligence. The role is based in Benidorm, Spain and is remote, with responsibility to contribute to the availability, quality, and scalability of the data platform.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain data integration and transformation pipelines (ETL/ELT).
Design and implement analytics- and reporting-oriented data models.
Participate in data analytics projects using AWS services.
Manage data ingestion, storage, and transformation across Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures.
Develop solutions using Python and SQL to automate data processes.
Implement data quality, security, and governance best practices.
Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
Support performance tuning of queries and data processing.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the data platform.

Requirements

Degree in Systems, Software, Electronics, or related fields.
Minimum 1 year of experience in analytics or data engineering projects.
Proficient in SQL and relational database modeling.
Proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
Knowledge of data architectures such as Data Lake, Data Warehouse, or Lakehouse.
Experience in data modeling (dimensional modeling, star and snowflake schemas).
Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, IAM, Athena, CDK, and PySpark.
Desirable: experience with EventBridge
