Axon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to help shape the infrastructure automation and cloud provisioning platform that enables engineering teams to self-serve infrastructure such as databases and Kubernetes clusters through infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS CDK. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring a solid foundation in software development and experience architecting cloud solutions in languages such as Go or Java. Location: This role is based in our Washington, DC area office and follows a hybrid schedule. Team members are on-site Tuesday through Friday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, subject to approved workplace accommodations. What You'll Do: Build robust, easy-to-use foundational platforms and tools to provision infrastructure rapidly, consistently, and securely across multiple cloud providers; Write Go code that is performant, maintainable, clear, and concise; Enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices and coding standards; Debug issues in cloud-native distributed systems with strong problem-solving skills; Influence and educate the engineering organization to adopt new architectural patterns; Create robust documentation to enable self-service by engineers.
