This role oversees the design engineering team, workflow optimization, and the implementation of manufacturing best practices to support safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost objectives. Location: Orange, California, United States; on-site. Responsibilities include leading the Design Engineering team by providing technical support through customer interfaces, CAD design, review and compliance, contract review, process implementation, planning, and production support. Manage multiple projects, align with organizational goals, and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Design or Manufacturing Engineering or related field; 7+ years of engineering experience (preferably in connectors, cables, or electromechanical assemblies); 3+ years of supervisory experience; knowledge of cable assembly, connector manufacturing, crimping, soldering, molding, and electro-mechanical assembly; Lean/Six Sigma experience; proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP/MRP systems; familiarity with process validation, DOE, and statistical analysis; strong leadership and communication skills; ability to move around the production floor and lift up to 25 lbs; willingness to work near manufacturing equipment.
