Step is seeking a strategic, hands-on Head of People Operations to establish scalable HR frameworks, systems, and policies that enable our team to do their best work. From onboarding to retention, you will drive initiatives that elevate Step’s culture, performance, and long-term talent strategy. This role provides leadership for Talent Acquisition, ensuring we attract exceptional talent as we grow. You will partner closely with Beast Industries’ executives to align Step’s People strategy with broader organizational priorities.

Key responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable HR processes that support Step’s rapid growth - Own the employee experience, from onboarding to retention, ensuring high engagement and performance - Develop and implement strategic frameworks for compensation, benefits, and performance management - Partner with leadership to build employee connectedness and cultivate an inclusive culture aligned with Step’s values - Implement and manage HR systems, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency

Requirements

6+ years in People Operations or HR with leadership experience in a high-growth startup or fintech
Demonstrated success building scalable People programs, HR infrastructure, and operational processes from the ground up
Experience leading Talent Acquisition and developing recruiting strategies to attract exceptional talent
Experience building and leading high-performing teams
Exceptional process-building and execution skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Ability to manage immediate priorities while anticipating fu
