Architect and scale high-performance distributed systems used by user profiling, Search, ML, and pricing teams; guide design decisions and long-term maintainability.
Stay current with the latest data ingestion technologies; evaluate and incorporate new approaches to improve architecture and operational reliability.
Influence the team’s and organization’s roadmap and strategy; mentor and coach engineers to raise technical standards.
Participate in on-call rotation and raise operational standards by proactively identifying, debugging, and fixing issues.
Requirements
9+ years of relevant experience; proven track record leading and mentoring engineering teams, setting technical direction, and growing engineers.
Deep expertise in distributed systems, multi-tenant storage, and infrastructure; experience architecting and scaling mission-critical platforms.
Strong ability to collaborate across teams and align technical strategy; good judgment on trade-offs.
Experience onboarding to and navigating large, complex codebases; enabling others to do the same.
Familiarity with data platform components and tools such as MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Flink, Druid, Zookeeper; experience with CDC and data export platforms a plus.
Salary
$204,000—$255,000 USD
