5+ years backend engineering, ownership of production systems end-to-end
3+ years Python; or strong alternative with willingness to use Python
Experience designing clean, versioned REST APIs
Solid understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous architectures
Experience with queues, pub/sub, retries, idempotency, eventual consistency; design for failure
Strong relational DB skills (PostgreSQL or MySQL); data modeling, indexing, query optimization, schema evolution
Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD
Product engineering mindset; translate customer problems into solutions
Strong communication; comfortable in fast-moving, collaborative environment
Experience building web scrapers at scale
