About the role

Based in Dublin, Ireland, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is seeking a Workday Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve the global Workday platform within the People Technology Services team. This independent contributor role owns the design, configuration architecture, and delivery of scalable Workday solutions across core HR domains, ensuring reusability, maintainability, and alignment with long-term governance standards. Working in an Agile product delivery model, you will contribute to the platform's evolution and the reliability of core services, partnering with Product, Data, and Integrations teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions across the People Technology ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Solution Design: design, configure, and implement scalable Workday platform solutions across core HR domains, including business processes, organizational structures, eligibility rules, and calculated fields. Define configuration design patterns to promote reuse, scalability, and maintainability across the platform.
Platform Ownership & Operations: act as platform owner for assigned Workday domains (e.g., Core HCM, Absence, Compensation, Talent); maintain platform reliability, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with integrations, data, security teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end platform solutions.
Data & Reporting Solutions: design and deliver scalable reporting and data solutions (Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports); develop calculated fields and data structures; ensure accuracy and consistenc
