Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Program Manager III to lead the Operational Readiness Review (ORR) for networking initiatives based in Austin, Texas. As a TPM, you will partner with Network Architecture, Engineering, Product, and Security teams early in the design process to advocate for operational observability, supportability, and maintainability, ensuring new network technologies meet strict ORR criteria before deployment. Responsibilities include defining and implementing the ORR framework, creating comprehensive engineering documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting runbooks, high- and low-level designs (HLD/LLD), and failover validation playbooks; conducting rigorous risk assessments, defining rollback strategies and monitoring requirements to protect network availability; and defining and tracking metrics for operational readiness (e.g., Time-to-Ready, Day-2 support ticket volume post-launch, deployment success rates).
