Bigbelly is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of our world-leading smart waste and recycling system. Based in Needham, Massachusetts, you will operate at the intersection of hardware engineering (solar power, compaction, sensors), embedded firmware, and our CLEAN cloud platform. Your mission is to ensure Bigbelly stations are highly efficient, data-driven assets that help municipalities and campuses reach their sustainability goals. This role blends hardware product leadership with IoT connectivity and requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and software teams, as well as with the sales organization. You will partner with teams in Needham and our manufacturing operations in Methuen to bring products from concept through production and field performance. Core responsibilities include defining strategy and vision, conducting customer and market research, prioritizing the backlog, cross-functional teamwork, data analysis and iteration, and clear communication of product updates and value to stakeholders. For new products, you will write user stories, oversee user testing, and support product marketing activities. You will also help establish pricing strategies for physical products and monitor regulatory changes as our products are exported globally (approximately 50%).
