About the role

BJAK is building a Neobank Superapp for Southeast Asia. As a Technical Product Manager, you’ll own a product vertical end-to-end—such as payments and expense management, remittance, insurance, or wealth and trading—from strategy and outcomes to roadmap and the technical design and delivery of the systems behind it. This is a product where real money moves, and licensing, compliance, and third-party rails are core constraints. We are AI-native by default, but AI is a means, not the goal: you will determine where a model can genuinely improve an outcome, ensure deterministic systems remain in control, and build products that are reliable, auditable, and trusted when money is involved.

As a Technical Product Manager, you’ll own a product vertical end-to-end—such as payments and expense management, remittance, insurance, or wealth and trading—from strategy and outcomes to roadmap and the technical design and delivery of the systems behind it. We are AI-native by default, but AI is a means, not the goal: you will determine where a model can genuinely improve an outcome, ensure deterministic systems remain in control, and build products that are reliable, auditable, and trusted when money is involved.

What you'll be doing: - Own a vertical end-to-end: define outcomes and metrics, backlog priorities by value, risk, and dependencies, and crisp acceptance criteria. - Shape the technical design with engineering: system boundaries, money movement correctness, third-party rails, failure/retry paths, security, latency, scalability, recovery. - Make hard trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability and UX; defend them with engineering, compliance, or ops leads. - Treat regulated constraints as first-class inputs: licensing scope, KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, data residency and privacy; determine launch gates. - Apply AI where it earns its place: decide what AI can decide, human-in-the-loop, evaluation, and behavior when unsure.
