Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure & Acquisition team. This role focuses on all aspects of data collection to support model training, enabling high-quality datasets at scale through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research. You will identify new data sources, build and operate ingestion pipelines, and extend the cloud infrastructure (GCP) managed with Terraform. You will collaborate closely with scientists to improve data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency to power Speechify’s next-generation models for consumer and enterprise products. The ideal candidate has a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of software development experience, proficiency with Bash and Python in Linux environments, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts, and experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred). Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus.
