Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure & Acquisition team. This role focuses on data collection and ingestion to support model training, building high-quality datasets at petabyte scale while controlling costs through close collaboration of infrastructure, engineering, and research. You will: - Identify new audio data sources and integrate them into the ingestion pipeline. - Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline, currently on GCP and managed with Terraform. - Collaborate with scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality to power next-generation models. - Partner with the AI Team and leadership to define the AI Team’s dataset roadmap for consumer and enterprise products.

Ideal candidate: - BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field. - 5+ years of industry experience in software development. - Proficiency with Bash/Python scripting in Linux environments; Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code; experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred). - Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus. - Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
