Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure & Acquisition team for a fully remote role based in Valencia, Spain. The role focuses on all aspects of data collection to support model training, enabling the creation of high-quality datasets at petabyte scale through close collaboration between infrastructure, engineering, and research. Responsibilities include identifying and ingesting new data sources into our ingestion pipeline, operating and extending the cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline (current stack uses Google Cloud Platform with Terraform), and collaborating with AI scientists and leadership to improve data cost, throughput, and quality for next-generation models. Requirements include a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of software development experience, proficiency with Bash and Python in Linux, Docker and Infrastructure as Code concepts, and experience with at least one major cloud provider (we use GCP). Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus. This is a fully remote role with the team distributed globally.
