Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure & Acquisition arm of our AI team, based in Manchester, United Kingdom. This is a remote-only role that allows you to work from anywhere while collaborating with a globally distributed team.

What you’ll do: - Find new data sources and bring them into the ingestion pipeline - Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline, currently on Google Cloud Platform and managed with Terraform - Collaborate with data scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality, powering next-generation models - Work with the AI team and leadership to shape the dataset roadmap for Speechify’s consumer and enterprise products

Ideal candidate should have: - BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field - 5+ years of software development experience - Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux - Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure as Code; experience with at least one major cloud provider (we use GCP) - Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus - Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
