Thomasnet, part of Xometry, is evolving from a traditional supplier directory to AI-assisted sourcing, and you will help build the systems behind this shift, from product experiences used daily to AI-powered features at the core of our strategy. You will provide hands-on technical leadership, code actively, review others' work, and establish strong coding standards. You will own end-to-end feature design and delivery within your team, including AI-powered capabilities such as LLM-based features, retrieval, vector search, and search relevance, with guardrails to ensure accuracy and safety. You will mentor engineers, perform thorough code reviews, and drive operational excellence by ensuring testing and reliability. Requirements include 6+ years of software development experience, strong full-stack skills (TypeScript/Node.js with GraphQL, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch) and experience building AI-powered product features. Bonus points for multimodal embeddings, LangGraph/LangChain, and fine-tuning models for domain use. This is a hybrid role based in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States.
