Senior Sales Manager – Houston, Texas, United States (On-site) Job Summary As the local on-property sales contact for customers, the Senior Sales Manager proactively solicits and handles complex accounts and events with greater revenue potential in a particular market segment for one hotel. The role actively upsells each business opportunity to maximize revenue and achieves personal and hotel revenue goals. This position supports and acts on behalf of the Director of Sales in their absence.

Essential Job Functions - Build the department’s top-line revenue by following the sales strategy guidelines set by the Director of Sales & Marketing and identifying revenue opportunities based on event profiles. - Manage more complex business with greater revenue potential and higher customer expectations. - Meet and exceed individual revenue goals; manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and upsell products and services throughout the sales process. - Accurately forecast group sleeping rooms and revenue, and participate in the forecasting process after turnover. - Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals; focus on accounts with larger potential sales revenue. - Respond to incoming inquiries within the market segment within 4 hours. - Participate in Revenue Management Team meetings when needed, and support the Director of Group Sales in developing strategy. - Close the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs. - Understand the overall market and competitive dynamics, as well as economic tr
