LumApps is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Software Engineer to join our development team. You will work on workplace features such as meeting room management and desk booking, impacting thousands of employees worldwide. Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining efficient Ruby code within the Ruby on Rails framework; developing and optimizing integrations with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 (via Google APIs, Microsoft Graph API, and OAuth2 flows); making architectural decisions to ensure performance, security, and scalability; upholding high code quality through rigorous testing (RSpec) and thorough code reviews; and contributing to technical leadership and process improvements. Required skills include 5+ years of professional Ruby on Rails experience with expertise in the Rails ecosystem (Sidekiq, ActiveRecord, etc.). Experience with Python or Rust is a plus. Strong database proficiency with MySQL and Redis, including schema design and query optimization; API experience building and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with third‑party integrations (Google Workspace / Microsoft Graph). DevOps familiarity with CI/CD and Git; Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus.
