Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join its Battlespace Awareness Command and Control Software team in Waltham, Massachusetts. You will contribute to real-time path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination for autonomous unmanned systems, prototyping and deploying state-of-the-art algorithms for global and local path planning, and building high-performance software for fielded C2 systems with a focus on asynchronous programming, concurrency, and reliability in resource-constrained environments. Responsibilities include implementing robust planners and decision-making systems that generate safe and feasible routes in dynamic environments; analyzing system performance with simulations and statistics; supporting customer success by delivering algorithms for collaborative autonomy, asset routing, and obstacle/threat avoidance; and integrating path planning technologies into the broader command and control software stack. Qualifications include 8+ years in algorithm design and software development with proficiency in C/C++ and/or Rust; strong knowledge of path planning techniques (A*, D* Lite, RRT/RRT*, PRM); experience with guidance, navigation, and control, trajectory optimization/prediction, and vehicle dynamics; familiarity with map representations, geospatial data, and distributed architectures; exposure to machine learning applied to planning; and the ability to write robust concurrent code.
