UTHealth Houston is seeking a senior-level Project Manager to lead Artificial Intelligence Governance initiatives within the Enterprise IT team. You will oversee enterprise-scale projects, coordinate with four governance committees addressing AI governance, and ensure timely delivery aligned with stakeholder objectives. Responsibilities include defining project initiation with clear customer expectations, business drivers, requirements, SLAs, and success metrics; managing risks and quality; providing leadership and clear communications to project teams; coordinating with management, vendors, customers, and IT staff to plan and review project plans and deliverables; initiating enterprise projects as required and staying current with project management technologies. The role will involve working with internally developed LLMs and interacting with vendors supplying AI services; technical design of LLMs is not required, but knowledge of how they work and common terminology is essential. A CAPM or PMP is preferred but not required. Minimum education: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; minimum eight years of IT and team management experience. The position is hybrid with in-office presence one or two days per week at the McGovern Medical School in Houston.
