You will lead a cross-functional squad across engineering, design, research, and data to translate the roadmap into shipped features and to improve key engagement metrics. The role requires balancing large swing investments with continuous experimentation, and combining qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions. You will partner with data science and engineering on recommendation, ranking, and search systems, making product tradeoffs on relevance and quality. You will craft experiences that blend joyful design, editorial insight, and algorithmic thinking to help readers find new reads. Qualifications include 5+ years of consumer product management experience, preferably with native mobile apps and subscriptions, a track record of turning pain points into strategy and defining an opinionated roadmap, strong collaboration with engineers and data scientists on ML-enabled experiences, and proficiency with both quantitative (A/B testing, analytics) and qualitative (user testing, interviews) research.
