The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting processes, including journal entries, accounts payable, invoicing, and payer-file reconciliations. The role provides quality control across monthly close activities, ensures compliance with organizational policies, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement improvements. Responsibilities include:

- Payroll: manage full-cycle payroll for a multi-state workforce (approximately 350 employees across 40+ states), administer ADP, maintain payroll records, handle tax filings and deductions, and support onboarding/offboarding; ensure compliance with nonprofit benefits. - Monthly Close & Financial Integrity: prepare and review journal entries, monitor close schedule, perform variance analyses, ensure reconciliations are complete and accurate. - Accounts Payable & Invoicing Oversight: code/approve invoices, ensure invoices reflect contract terms and rate changes, leverage technology to manage AP/AR, document changes, and prevent downstream corrections. - Payer Files & Data Reconciliation: review payer data (Medicaid, Blue Cross) for completeness and alignment with financial models; investigate discrepancies as appropriate. - Quality Control & Process Improvement: implement QC checklists, review staff work, and pursue process improvements for efficiency and accuracy. - Team Support &
