You will join the Reliability Engineering team to collaborate with Systems, Hardware, and Software Engineering across the product development lifecycle. Responsibilities include reviewing system block diagrams, interface control documents, and schematics for compliance, redundancy, and accuracy; proactively identifying product risks and driving root-cause analyses and corrective actions; supporting Failure Modes and Effects Analysis activities and implementing product improvements for reliability; performing predictive reliability analysis to calculate failure rates and mean time between failures; developing maintainability prediction models using MIL-HDBK-472; developing R&D and qualification test plans to ensure appropriate coverage; coordinating with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure inspection and acceptance test gates are documented against requirements; conducting Weibull analysis using data from qualification campaigns and fielded assets; and using data analysis to highlight key problem areas and propose corrective actions. Qualifications include pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or a related field; plan to return to school after the internship for at least one semester; and eligibility to work in the United States as a U.S. Person with potential for clearance.
