About the role

QA Automation Engineer is a remote, full-time position with Bright Vision Technologies, a technology consulting and software development company serving clients across the United States. This role designs, develops, and maintains scalable automated testing frameworks for enterprise web applications, APIs, and distributed systems. You will collaborate with development teams to expand test coverage, embed automation into CI/CD pipelines, and accelerate reliable software delivery. The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks and a solid understanding of testing strategy, including risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and continuous testing in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
Write robust automated test scripts that exercise critical business flows and edge cases.
Develop API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent tools.
Create and maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites.
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) so tests run on every change.
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing with emphasis on compatibility and performance.
Conduct database validation using SQL queries to verify data integrity end-to-end.
Collaborate with developers to improve testability, identify defects early, and shift quality left.
Support performance testing initiatives using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
