Principal Software Engineer – Fintech Platform at InPost is a high-impact role based in Warsaw, Poland, with a hybrid work model (preferably 1 day per week in the Warsaw or Krakow offices). In this role you will work directly with the Head of FinTech Engineering and business leadership to translate critical business goals—such as new product lines, regulatory deadlines, and growth targets—into architecture decisions and roadmaps. You will be the final authority on cross-domain technical questions that cannot be resolved by a single team.

Key responsibilities include serving as the cross-domain technical authority to arbitrate architecture decisions across Payments Core, Merchant, and Consumer platform areas; partnering with engineering leadership to convert business strategy into technical roadmap input; authoring Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and RFCs for organization-wide decisions with clear reasoning for engineers and business stakeholders; designing and improving AI-assisted engineering workflows and instrumenting production data to continuously enhance the agentic engineering harness; identifying and driving the adoption or deprecation of patterns across teams and sequencing changes without direct authority; mentoring Staff Engineers and Engineering Managers on architecture craft, technical communication, and agentic tooling; and contributing to setting patterns and tooling across the organization.
