The lead also coordinates department equipment service and maintenance, develops training programs, evaluates technical skills, and ensures staff complete required competencies. Additional responsibilities involve personnel actions related to hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and performance evaluations; contributing to accreditation submissions and progress reporting; supporting annual policy and protocol updates; and performing on-call duties or variable shifts as needed. Coaching staff and documenting conversations, including progressive discipline when directed, are part of the leadership duties.
