The role focuses on enabling AMD x86 architecture, the Display subsystem (GPU driver integration, HDMI/DP, and display controller validation), and Android OS stack integration on the AMD APU platform, in collaboration with AMD. Location: Palo Alto, California. This is an on-site, in-office role located in Palo Alto (five days per week). Responsibilities include bringing up the AMD x86 SoC/APU on our EVK reference design; enabling the Display subsystem; porting and stabilizing Android OS (AOSP) on the AMD APU platform; collaborating with AMD on platform enablement and driver support; validating APU performance, GPU benchmarks, and thermal characteristics; and supporting the Ok2Book milestone delivery and documentation. Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field; 10+ years of embedded software development experience; hands-on AMD x86 SoC or APU bring-up experience; display subsystem expertise (GPU drivers, display controllers, HDMI/DP or MIPI DSI); Android platform bring-up (AOSP porting, HAL development, BSP); Linux kernel, boot sequence, and driver development; proficiency in C/C++, Python or Rust; hardware debugging tools (JTAG, Lauterbach).
