Lead Data Platform Engineer is required for a 6 month fixed term contract with Experian. This hybrid Nottingham based role (approximately 40 percent in the office) leads the Ascend Cloud Foundation Platform team to build data pipelines and a data lake, deliver high quality software, and ensure regulatory compliance and security standards including GDPR and PCI DSS. You will guide an agile technical team, collaborate with risk, security and compliance groups, and help define technology roadmaps. You will own the codebase and technical applications and drive DevOps and IaC practices. Responsibilities include building data pipelines and data lake, codebase ownership, and ensuring integration with lifecycle tools such as Bitbucket and Jira. Qualifications include strong experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Harness; developing on Apache Spark and Hadoop; AWS services such as Glue and S3; data pipeline and data lake development; programming in Scala or Python; applying SOLID principles and common design patterns; experience with automated testing; knowledge of serverless constructs such as Lambda, EventBridge, SQS and Lake Formation; ability to analyze large data sets and collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
