Capgemini is looking for a Junior Data Scientist with expertise in predictive modeling, personalization, recommender systems, optimization, GenAI, and responsible AI. This is a hybrid role with Day One onsite at multiple U.S. locations, including Westlake, TX; Smithfield, RI; Boston, MA; Merrimack, NH; and Durham, NC. The role provides an exciting environment for multidisciplinary AI research and development with access to diverse data sources, and you will work with business stakeholders to deliver AI-powered solutions across use cases such as customer engagement, personalization, recommendations, decision optimization, and customer insights. Requirements include a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, and five years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or related technical fields. Core skills include building predictive models and recommender systems, ranking models, and prescriptive optimization; strong proficiency in Python, SQL, MLOps, and modern AI/ML development frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, AWS Sagemaker); experience with NLP frameworks (Transformers), GenAI solutions, and LLMs; knowledge of model evaluation, deployment, governance, and scalability. Nice-to-have skills include time-series forecasting, knowledge graphs, and optimization solvers (e.g., IBM CPLEX, Gurobi, OR-Tools).
