Role overview: As Group Balance Sheet Controller, you will own the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process across approximately 50 legal entities, collaborating with finance teams across the Group to ensure accurate balances and robust financial controls. You will support statutory reporting and external audits and drive automation and continuous improvement across the Finance function.

Role overview: As Group Balance Sheet Controller, you will own the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process across approximately 50 legal entities, collaborating with finance teams across the Group to ensure accurate balances and robust financial controls. You will support statutory reporting and external audits and drive automation and continuous improvement across the Finance function.

Key responsibilities: - Own the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process across the Group, ensuring reconciliations are completed accurately, consistently and on time. - Review aged or unusual balance sheet items, collaborating with finance teams to resolve issues and strengthen balance sheet integrity. - Develop and maintain robust reconciliation standards with complete documentation in line with Group policies. - Prepare and review key control account reconciliations while supporting improvements to the month-end close process. - Partner with Finance colleagues to support statutory reporting, external audits and balance sheet analysis. - Identify opportunities to automate, standardise and improve reconciliation processes and financial controls. - Build strong relationships with finance teams across the Group to improve reporting quality and promote best practices.
