Founding Engineer - Fullstack (m/w/d)

nuuEnergy is a climate-tech startup based in Munich, Germany, on a mission to lead Europe’s heat-pump transition. We’re revolutionizing installations with end-to-end, smart solutions for installers, combining startup velocity, skilled craftsmanship, and regional teams that deliver real results.

As a Founding Fullstack Engineer, you’ll build features end-to-end to make job sites more profitable and to ease technicians’ work. You’ll own the full stack—from database schemas and API routes to frontend interfaces and mobile apps. You’ll conduct code reviews to maintain quality, including parts of the codebase that rely on AI-assisted generation, and you’ll ensure speed does not come at the expense of a solid codebase.

You’ll make architecture decisions at the API level: how endpoints are designed, how authentication and permissions are handled, and how the data model supports multiple hubs. You’ll use AI tools, such as Claude Code and Cursor, when appropriate, but you’ll know when to code yourself. You’ll think critically before implementing a spec, and you’ll understand how each feature contributes to margins and adoption.

You’ll be part of the Product team; there is no separate dev department. The role is execution and quality-focused, not product management, concept work, stakeholder management, or leadership. Prioritization and product decisions remain with the Product team.
