About the role

External Reporting Controller Associate — On-site in Newark, Delaware, United States — JPMorgan Chase. This role sits within Risk Management and Compliance and is responsible for providing complete, timely, accurate data and supporting narratives on the firm’s wholesale credit risk for internal and external reporting. The successful candidate will challenge the numbers, tell the story behind the data, and craft a high-quality end product in collaboration with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Identify key risks and trends impacting the wholesale credit portfolio across Commercial & Investment Bank, Asset & Wealth Management, and Consumer Banking segments.
Support monthly close of wholesale credit data and deliver periodic reports, metrics, and executive-level content to senior management.
Develop subject-matter expertise in key portfolios such as Wholesale, including areas like Non-Performing, Past Due, Net Charge-offs, and Pending Commitments.
Assist with monthly and quarterly credit risk updates for RM&C leadership and the Firm’s CFO to prepare for quarterly Earnings Presentations.
Produce data metrics for external disclosures, including Earnings Release, and support variance commentary requests from stakeholders.
Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed in RM&C; utilize tools such as Alteryx and Tableau to support analytics.
Engage with line-of-business partners and key stakeholders across Risk and Finance on internal and external reporting agendas, including data quality initiatives.
