HII Mission Technologies’ All-Domain Operations group is seeking a Cloud Engineer to provide cloud-based services and support, including systems engineering, research, collaboration, and maintaining standardized specifications and configurations for server-based deployments. The successful candidate will configure, harden, deploy, and sustain hybrid cloud service architectures as part of a global enterprise service model. This on-site role in Hurlburt Field, Florida cannot be performed remotely. Responsibilities include designing and refining cloud architectures, leading early scoping efforts, identifying dependencies, mitigating technology risks, collaborating with functional business units, developing and documenting integration frameworks, sizing and capacity planning, and providing technical guidance. The candidate will work with other engineers and stakeholders to define requirements, document designs, and support testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of cloud-based systems. Qualifications include at least 2 years of relevant enterprise cloud services experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; CISSP is highly desired and Security+ is acceptable in lieu of a CISSP. A SECRET security clearance is required at hire. Desired skills also include strong experience with AWS (GovCloud/CloudOne), Docker and Kubernetes, experience with IaaS/SaaS architectures, Agile methods, Confluence/Jira, relational and NoSQL databases, Active Directory, DNS, SIEM, and proficiency in languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and scripts.
