Role: Backend Developer to help architect an AI-native platform for crisis management, including situational overviews, consequence modeling, and prioritization. As part of a growing startup, this is an opportunity to influence core technical decisions from day one and contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven team. You will work on new development and mentor peers, with opportunities to participate in hiring to build a strong, diverse team.

What you'll do: - Take an active role in developing the platform from the ground up, including core architectural decisions and long-term technical direction. - Build secure, robust services that remain available when other components fail. - Work cloud-agnostic and sometimes on bare metal, with the flexibility to deploy parts in different customer cloud environments. - Leverage local AI models to support users in making better decisions.

What you bring: - 4+ years of backend development experience. - Proficiency in a statically typed language, preferably Go (Golang). - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures. - Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and open to learning from others.
