The Habitat Company, LLC is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager at a market-rate residential property in Chicago, IL. This full-time, on-site position at Kingsbury Plaza (520 N Kingsbury) offers a salary range of $30.00 - $35.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401k. The Assistant Community Manager assists with daily property operations, maintains rent and deposit reporting, processes accounts payable, and supports audits, IHDA/HUD communications, and compliance. Responsibilities also include generating and closing work orders, monitoring the recertification process per HUD rules, maintaining resident files, preparing incident reports, assisting with community activities and marketing efforts to improve resident satisfaction, and ensuring adherence to Fair Housing, ADA, and other applicable laws. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to assist the property manager in day-to-day activities. Preferred COS and EIV certifications; prior experience with recertifications is advantageous; IL Leasing License or the ability to obtain one within 120 days of hire.
