Quality Engineer will provide technical quality leadership across the value stream, including raw material, internal and external manufacturing. The role focuses on organizational and process capability to minimize Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) using proven methods in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, AS9100, Reliability Engineering, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, and is responsible for facilitating processes to ensure optimum quality throughout the work flow, including adherence to AS9100 standards. Essential duties include reducing COPQ (scrap and escapes), reporting COPQ results and driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for sustainable reductions; improving machine capability and implementing process control systems; working closely with Supply Chain to improve supplier quality levels (travel to supplier locations as needed); supporting daily quality activities during manager-driven situations; developing CMM and SmartScope programs/fixturing and other advanced inspection techniques; training inspectors in proper inspection processes; participating in contract reviews and FMEA to identify and address risks in manufacturing; investigating and resolving customer quality concerns; coordinating and closing the problem resolution process; leading CAPA activities with effective root cause analysis; developing inspection and in-process control plans; performing routine inspections to support production and revenue goals; supporting production in part measurement, scrap reduction, and continuous improvement; supporting Material Review Board activities and disposi
