NavVis is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to contribute to NavVis IVION, a cutting-edge web platform for exploring and managing photorealistic digital twins directly in the browser. In this role you will design and implement both backend and frontend components using Java, Spring, TypeScript, Angular, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS, enabling scalable 3D visualization, mapping, and data management.
NavVis is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to contribute to NavVis IVION, a cutting-edge web platform for exploring and managing photorealistic digital twins directly in the browser. In this role you will design and implement both backend and frontend components using Java, Spring, TypeScript, Angular, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS, enabling scalable 3D visualization, mapping, and data management.
Responsibilities include developing and extending a Java/Spring-based application server and an Angular/TypeScript client, building robust APIs, and driving performance optimizations. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to translate user and business needs into robust technical solutions, participate in code reviews, testing, and mentoring engineers within your squad to foster knowledge sharing.
3+ years of software engineering experience; strong expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and modern web architectures; advanced frontend experience with Angular and TypeScript; solid experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and geospatial data; proven ability to define technical roadmaps and influence cross-functional teams; experience delivering APIs/SDKs and incorporating developer feedback. Bonus: knowledge of C++, exposure to AWS, geospatial data, or WebGL. We offer a hybrid work setup in Munich, Germany, with visa and relocation support for international candidates, generous PTO, mobility subsidies, and a competitive compensation package.
