About the role

Route Sales Representative (CDL & HazMat) – On-site in Augusta, Georgia, United States.

Job Summary: As a Route Sales Representative, you will build and maintain strong customer relationships through daily in-person contact, delivering hard goods and gas cylinders and retrieving empty cylinders on a scheduled route. The role is physically demanding and time-sensitive, but rewarding as you earn customers’ trust by providing consistently excellent service. This position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Safely load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders containing compressed gases to customers; retrieve empty cylinders.
Maintain load manifests and all vehicle documents.
Identify and monitor customers’ needs and maintain their desired hard good and cylinder levels to minimize emergency deliveries.
Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
Strictly comply with safety rules and DOT/OSHA regulations; maintain appropriate driver’s licenses and endorsements.
Keep the inside and outside of the truck safe and clean.
Perform counter sales and assist customers in the store when necessary.
Warehouse duties such as receiving, shipping, and required paperwork.
Fill cylinders in the pump room; assist with inventory, showroom displays, and demonstrations as required.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred.
Industry knowledge and experience handling compressed gases; sales or customer ser
