Overview: The Assistant Community Manager provides support to the Community Manager in the day-to-day operations of a multi-family property in Davenport, Florida, United States. Responsibilities include handling accounts receivable, posting rent, processing daily deposits, and maintaining an accurate rent roll. The role also involves preparing and presenting monthly financial and leasing reports, including pre-close and closeout activities, and auditing records for lease expirations, delinquencies, and notices. Additional duties include collecting delinquent balances, processing evictions and related paperwork, and assisting with leasing activities as needed. The Assistant Community Manager may help train staff, assist with resident relations and problem resolution, and support timecard submission. Other tasks include coordinating move-ins/outs and lease renewals, monitoring property conditions, coordinating with maintenance, and supporting resident retention through events. The position requires professional communication, basic accounting skills, and familiarity with on-site accounting software (e.g., Entrata) and standard office equipment. The role requires adherence to fair housing laws and safe practices; ongoing training on fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention is provided. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with weekends and holidays as needed. Some travel may be required. This position is on-site at the Davenport, Florida property.
