Emerson is seeking an innovative software engineer to join a cross-functional Agile team focused on PACSystems client-side software that configures, programs, visualizes, and manages PACSystems controllers and automation solutions.
You will contribute to the design and development of next-generation PACSystems software capabilities, embracing modern development practices including AI-assisted and spec-driven development. Our team uses structured specifications and intelligent tooling to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and reduce ambiguity. We value engineers who are curious about AI-enabled workflows in industrial software development.
In this role, you will: - Collaborate with peers, provide design and code feedback, and participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives). Engage in Hackathons, Tech Talks, and Communities of Practice. - Partner with product managers and domain experts in industrial automation to translate domain requirements into precise software specifications. - Define and drive specifications using modern spec-driven approaches. - Innovate by developing software with the latest tools, frameworks, and AI-enabled workflows; apply spec-driven methodologies to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and reduce ambiguity. Debug and validate software for unreleased products and field issues. - Iterate with the Scrum team to continuously improve processes, tools, and ways of working, including AI-enabled development practices. - Stay current
