VHB’s Watertown/Boston team is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to join its team of water resource scientists and engineers and support growing water quality and stormwater regulatory planning and compliance work in Boston and Watertown, Massachusetts. The position will lead a portfolio of water resources and stormwater projects, provide technical guidance to an interdisciplinary team, manage scope, budgets, and schedules, oversee field investigations and data collection, analyze hydrologic and water quality data, develop actionable recommendations, and support the preparation of permit applications and compliance reports. The role also includes designing and maintaining GIS data management and visualization tools, advising clients on regulatory requirements, pursuing funding opportunities, and driving process improvements to increase efficiency and quality. Strong communication, technical writing, and project management skills are essential, as is experience with ArcGIS Pro/ArcGIS Online and knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., Clean Water Act, MS4 permits). This is a hybrid role located in Boston/Watertown, MA with opportunities for fieldwork and travel as needed.
