This leader will provide the people, processes, and technology to support tool engineering on multiple programs at the site, ensuring processes and procedures are maintained in compliance, and that cost, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction targets are met. Responsibilities include leading a team of tool engineers, interfacing with internal and external customers, forecasting tooling cost and delivery, identifying staffing and training needs, and maintaining departmental tooling life-cycle procedures from proposal to implementation. The role also involves performing Cost Account Management to ensure EVMS compliance for program budgets, and developing long-range plans to deliver affordable tooling products and services. Collaboration with sector Tooling Management is required to standardize processes and drive affordability, while establishing metrics to measure performance.
