Speechify is hiring for the Data side of its AI team. This role covers all aspects of data collection to support model training, enabling the creation of high-quality datasets at petabyte scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research. You will join as a Software Engineer to help build and operate the data ingestion pipeline, extend the cloud infrastructure for ingestion on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform, and collaborate with data scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality for next-generation models. You’ll work with the AI Team and Speechify leadership to define the dataset roadmap powering Speechify’s upcoming consumer and enterprise products.

Ideal candidates will have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field; 5+ years of industry software development experience; proficiency with Bash and Python in Linux environments; experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code, and with at least one major cloud provider (we use GCP); experience with web crawlers or large-scale data processing is a plus; strong written and verbal communication skills.
