Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Experiences Team in Nantes, France. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. The role sits at the intersection of product and infrastructure and is ideal for someone who enjoys designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance user experience.
What you’ll do: - Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and deliver cross-platform SDK solutions. - Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. - Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and data processing jobs using Kotlin.
Ideal candidate: - Systems thinking: you design end-to-end systems with simplicity in mind. - Speed and focus: you move quickly to generate options and know what can ship now versus later. - Collaboration: you can work with designers, marketers, and PMs in a high-growth, remote environment.
Preferred tech stack: - Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but the role centers on Kotlin Multiplatform) - Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus
