Position Summary: The Bookkeeper records and maintains all financial records for the Campus Ministry Office and works under the supervision of the Chaplain or as part of a project team.

Compile, record, and maintain financial records for campus ministry events
Review invoices and expenditures for accuracy; prepare and process payments; submit vouchers to the Accounting Department; issue checks from the campus ministry account
Prepare expense reports for campus ministry staff; submit to the Accounting Department in a timely manner
Reconcile the campus ministry checking account monthly
Process deposits (cash, checks, donations, fees) weekly and record all transactions in QuickBooks
Maintain payee files; generate monthly financial reports; assist with annual budget preparation
Support event contracts and expenditures; perform other duties as assigned by the Chaplain
Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel) and QuickBooks; strong data-entry and numerical aptitude
High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework or degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience; not-for-profit experience a plus
Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
Hybrid schedule with some in-office and some remote work
Located in Fredericksburg, VA
