ISO New England is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer (SDET) to design and deliver automated test strategies for UI and API applications. This hybrid role is based in Holyoke, Massachusetts, United States, with three days per week onsite. You will partner with Business Analysts and Developers to build automated tests, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, execute results-driven test runs, and mentor junior testers/consultants.

Qualifications:

Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
Create, run, and improve automated tests to raise release quality
Review acceptance criteria and test cases with Business Analysts
Partner with Developers to improve test coverage, scope, and process
Implement best practices to optimize automated testing efficiency and effectiveness
Stay current on testing tools and emerging technologies
Mentor junior testers/consultants through coaching and knowledge sharing
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years in software testing with hands-on test automation for web applications and APIs
Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress; BDD tools such as Cucumber a plus
Programming skills in Java plus scripting in Python or JavaScript; working knowledge of SQL
Ability to design and maintain automated tests from functional and non-functional requirements
Strong communication skills and experience working with BAs, Developers, and stakeholders
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins) and supporting continuous delivery
