Opticore IT is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of a Data Centre migration/exit programme for a large Insurance company client. The project involves migrating from a fully Cisco-based transit facility supporting approximately 500 applications across multiple circuits and several third-party VPNs. This is a hybrid role with around two days per week in Central London and an initial 12-month contract Inside IR35. The Project Manager will run governance and steering forums, own and maintain the project plan and RAID log, coordinate with the incumbent DC/network provider and third parties, plan and negotiate change windows, track scope and cost discipline, and act as the primary escalation point between the client and delivery teams. You will lead a project team including a Systems/Business Analyst, client stakeholders, engineers from the incumbent DC/network provider, and third-party representatives, reporting into the client's senior sponsor and the Opticore engagement lead. You may be asked to support scope-change justification documentation, cost-discipline reporting, and ad hoc executive updates as the programme progresses.
