About the role

National Highways has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Major Projects team. The Project Manager will work as part of a wider team to plan and manage the delivery of projects, oversee project team performance, external contractors and consultants, and ensure governance, quality assurance, health and safety, and technical standards across the supply chain and National Highways to deliver agreed project outcomes.

This is a full-time site/office-based position based from our Bristol office, with travel to regional offices and sites as required.

The Project Manager will work as part of a wider team to plan and manage the delivery of projects, oversee project team performance, external contractors and consultants, and ensure governance, quality assurance, health and safety, and technical standards across the supply chain and National Highways to deliver agreed project outcomes.

About you - Professional accreditation/qualification: Full Member of APM (Association for Project Management) or an equivalent professional body, or a willingness to attain. - Evidence of leadership on safety standards and their implementation within multiple team reporting structures in a complex project environment. - Experience in managing complex relationships with multiple stakeholders and influencing outcomes. - Commercial skills with proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts to deliver outcomes and value for money. - Experience delivering complex, high-risk or high-profile capital programmes and/or projects, including maintaining project plans with delivery partners.
