Side (formerly PTW) is a global video game development and services provider. We are seeking a Localization QA Game Tester to join our Localization Quality Assurance team in Braga. You will be the first to see the localized game in its entirety—translated text, images, and user interface—and ensure that the localization is linguistically accurate, culturally appropriate, and consistent across platforms.

Localization QA Game Tester (English) – On-site in Braga, Portugal

Side (formerly PTW) is a global video game development and services provider. We are seeking a Localization QA Game Tester to join our Localization Quality Assurance team in Braga. You will be the first to see the localized game in its entirety—translated text, images, and user interface—and ensure that the localization is linguistically accurate, culturally appropriate, and consistent across platforms.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a global project team.
Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
Log errors and issues; provide improvement suggestions.
Maintain consistency in terminology and imagery; ensure proper display/formatting of dates, calendars, and characters.
Produce reports on bugs and perform ad hoc translation as needed.
Oversee the quality of your work and contribute to project success.
Work on titles across PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR2, and mobile/tablet devices.

Requirements

What we offer:

Strong cultural understanding of the target language.
Computer literacy, particularly Excel.
