About the role
SCALIAN is seeking a Java Developer to join an Agile team working on strategic banking applications. You will contribute to designing, developing, and evolving Java-based solutions in a modern Java environment, collaborating with product teams, technical experts, and stakeholders. You will operate within a scalable Agile organization with a strong emphasis on quality, automation, and continuous delivery.
Responsibilities
Required skills:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications in line with quality standards and best development practices.
- Contribute to technical design alongside Tech Leads and team members.
- Develop new features and perform unit testing.
- Conduct technical analyses and propose solutions aligned with business needs.
- Maintain corrective and evolutionary maintenance of applications.
- Analyze incidents and identify root causes, proposing corrective actions.
- Contribute to integration, deployment, and production readiness activities.
- Continuously improve code quality, performance, and reliability.
- Perform code reviews and share best practices with the team.
- Update technical documentation when needed.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, design workshops, and backlog refinement.
- Collaborate with functional teams, Product Owners, and other developers throughout project lifecycles.
- Excellent command of Java
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Batch
- Knowledge of service-oriented architectures and REST APIs
- Proficiency with Kafka
- Experience with MySQL
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Maven
