Senior Data Scientist will join Mobysoft’s Data & Analytics team in a hybrid role to tackle structured/tabular problems such as rent arrears, tenant risk, contact strategy, and repairs history, translating data into clear, evidence-based outcomes. You will work alongside a small, central data function that partners with product and engineering on a shared roadmap, employing a test-and-learn approach with time-boxed experiments to decide what to ship next. Key responsibilities include early-warning and lifecycle modelling for rent and properties, forecasting rent payments and asset needs, designing multichannel contact strategies, providing prescriptive analytics and next-best-action recommendations, and building AI agents that combine internal data with external references. You will deploy and monitor ML models in production, monitor drift, and collaborate across teams on NLP/NN work when needed. The role has no line management responsibilities but offers opportunities to lead data science workstreams. Requirements include a Master’s or PhD in data science, ML, AI or a related field (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of commercial experience with complex structured data, strong Python and SQL, data engineering skills, and experience with time-series methods and modern ML toolkits (XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost). Desirable: cloud experience (AWS), familiarity with NLP/LLM tooling, and exposure to regulated sectors. Based in the United Kingdom with hybrid work arrangement.
